Dogs4Rescue

This project is a remarkable sanctuary for the most loving beings on earth – dogs. Our collaboration with Dogs 4 Rescue, a forward-thinking, kennel-free canine rescue organisation in the UK, has allowed us to create a dogs rescue centre that will revolutionise the way we care for dogs in need.

Dogs 4 Rescue is renowned for its innovative approach to dog rehabilitation and rescue. Leading the rescue revolution, they've been trailblazers in the industry with their unique, kennel-free philosophy. Expanding their vision in 2023, they inaugurated 'Rescue World', a 41-acre sanctuary dedicated to the rehabilitation of the dogs everyone else gave up on. Our task was to design Phase 1 of this grand project.

With our expertise and a team of dedicated professionals, we've managed to make significant strides within a limited budget. Architects, ecologists, project managers, and builders have come together, united by a shared love for dogs, to create an environment that not only meets the needs of these canine companions but goes above and beyond to provide them with the joy and freedom they deserve.

The focal point of Phase 1 is a large communal dog log cabin, complete with a welcoming reception area, a functional kitchen, a laundry room, and communal lounges for dogs. We designed the interiors with a keen understanding of a dog's needs, ensuring every corner and crevice of this log cabin is comfortable, safe, and stimulating for our furry friends.

The key feature is the dogs' adventure playground – an expansive two-acre area designed to elicit pure canine joy. This playground is designed as a safe haven for dogs to explore and play, enclosed by cranked fencing carefully installed beneath the ground. It features numerous enrichment zones, each uniquely designed to keep our furry friends engaged and entertained. From sandpits to water features, trampolines to play structures, and elevated dog houses to slides and bridges, we've left no stone unturned. We've even included an amphitheatre seating area, a tyre mountain, and ramps for additional variety and stimulation.

The Dogs 4 Rescue project has been a rewarding experience, allowing us to express our love for dogs through the medium of architecture.
